Gillian will be a panel member for Session three, The GAR Live Construction debate: Construction and investment treaty arbitrations: Let’s call the whole thing off …. The panel will be chaired by Jane Davies Evans (3 Verulam Buildings) and includes Amir Ghaffari (Vinson & Elkins), Emma Kratochvilova (Herbert Smith Freehills), Iain McKenny (Profile Investment) and Lee Rovinescu (Freshfields).
The panel will debate whether involvement in a construction project is an investment or not and respond to questions from the audience. Is a dispute board decision, or an arbitration award based on a “construction contract”, an investment? The audience will decide!
